However, they can not work on over-picked wafers; once you over-pick a particular wafer then you need to reduce the tension and start over again. • Single Lifters pick in opposite direction to correct over-picked wafer, also they can work in jammed locks. However, they read the opposite direction of picking direction. • Quad Lifters engage multiple wafers simultaneously (typically four), allowing for significantly faster manipulation and decoding. They operate and read in the same direction as the applied picking force, which improves efficiency during standard picking procedures. However, due to simultaneous lifting, they provide reduced tactile feedback and lower precision. Quad Lifters cannot compensate for over-picked wafers. Once an overset occurs, the mechanism binds and requires full tension release to reset. Additionally, they are ineffective in jammed or high-resistance locks and are less suitable for complex or worn mechanisms where fine control is required.
